Hanging Scroll Depicting a Flock of Geese, Japan, in the manner of Hara Zaichu (1750-1837),the birds in flight or standing near a riverbank with reeds, inscribed in the right corner with date in Chinese partially reading "xinchou" and signature reading "Hara Chien ga" with a seal reading "Shiju," ink and light color on silk, painting 49 7/8 x 19 1/4 in.
Provenance: By repute, acquired in Nagasaki, Japan, in 1945, by a U.S. Navy Lieutenant.
