Manuscript Cover with Carved Medicine Buddha, Tibetan China, possibly 15th/16th century, one side with two lotus mandalas with a carved Medicine Buddha triad in a near square panel in the center, the Buddha flanked by two standing bodhisattva figures under an architectural arch with Garuda in the center, all in deep relief and gilt, the other side painted with a geometric design of vajra-inspired patterns in a long rectangular panel, 8 7/8 x 28 1/2 in.

in a stabilized condition with minor surface wear and tear, loss of pigments, traces of old chips, age cracks to wood.
