14kt Gold Hand-painted Portrait Brooch, portrait surrounded by split pearls, inscribed and dated on the reverse, lg. 1 1/4 in., 4.5 dwt.

The portrait itself seems to be in good condition. Th brooch has some slight surface scartching and some denting to the back as well as some surface grime. The inscription reads: "J. W. Pierce/Died April 10, 1846/D.C. Pierce/Died Decr 25, 1861"
