Oil on canvas, 25 x 30 in. (63.3 x 76.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Scattered small paint losses and areas of flaking, fine craquelure, drying cracks, minor surface grime.
Provenance: From the artist to his student Pauline Plume of Watertown, Connecticut, to the current owner by descent.

N.B. The painting has been authenticated by Guy A. Wiggins, and a confirming letter from Mr. Wiggins dated January 17, 2017, accompanies the lot.
Back of the frame with a label from Artists Framing Company, J. Lowenbein, New York, and faintly inscribed "Frame Prop of Artists Frame Co."
Paint losses as follows: 5/16 inch loss with surrounding flaking located l.c. 1 3/4 inches up from the bottom; 1/2 inch loss to the roof of the yellow car in the foreground; small area of lifting with potential loss measuring 1/16 inches located 9 1/4 inches in from the left edge, to the right of the two green buses; scattered losses along the top edge, the largest located top center and measuring 1/4 inch long. There is a dark spot in the cornice line of the buildings on the right which seems original. Drying cracks throughout the composition, scattered craquelure generally consisting of isolated single cracks. Surface accretions/grime in the form of small brown dots.
