Signed "MONTAGUE DAWSON" l.l.
Oil on canvas, 24 x 36 in. (60.9 x 91.4 cm), framed.
Condition: Craquelure throughout, alligatoring with small loss u.c., frame abrasions, bulge l.l., small puncture with loss surrounding l.c., surface grime.

Provenance: The collection of Dr. Howard P. Diamond, M.D., New York, a prominent nasal plastic surgeon.

Framed dimensions: 36 1/2 x 48 1/2 in.

Two abrasions with paint loss at lower left edge, each 1/2 inch high. Very small paint loss to sky in white clouds to the right of the upper sails. Puncture located at lower center edge measures about 1/8 inch. Craquelure overall. Canvas deformation to the corners. Varnish discoloration and surface grime.
