André Kertész (Hungarian/American, 1894-1985)

Bocskay-tér, Budapest, 1914, printed 1950s. Titled and dated in black ink on the verso u.c., stamped "PHOTO BY/ANDRÉ KERTÉSZ" in black ink on the verso l.c. Gelatin silver print, image size 7 1/4 x 9 5/8 in. (18.5 x 24.5 cm), matted, unframed.
Condition: Subtle cracks in emulsion at u.l. and l.r. corners, hinge remnants on the verso along upper edge.

Provenance: A private New York collection.
Estimate $1,500-2,500

Sheet measures 8 x 10 in. (20.4 x 25.5 cm). The paper does not flouresce under UV light.
