Oscar Gustave Rejlander (British, 1813-1875)

Young Woman in Prayer, 1858-60. Unsigned. Albumen silver print mounted to album page, image/sheet size 7 5/8 x 5 3/4 in. (19.4 x 14.7 cm), matted, unframed.
Condition: Overall fading and rippling to sheet, mount with scattered light fox marks and tears.

Provenance: Property from the collection of Harvey Shipley Miller, proceeds to benefit the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

N.B. The reverse of the album page contains five photographic reproductions of painted portraits of British artists, authors, and philosophers.
Estimate $800-1,200

Mount measures 13 x 10 in. (33.0 x 25.5 cm). Two subtle matte areas in background c.l. Discoloration at mount edges on three sides. No additional issues to report.
