British School, 19th Century

Silhouette of Charles Dyke, c. 1830
Unsigned, inscribed "Charles Dyke/Sailed in the Clio July 19, 1830" in ink below the image,
cut paper and ink, sight size 3 1/2 x 2 3/4 in. (8.5 x 7.0 cm), in a giltwood and black-painted frame.

Condition: Toning to the support paper, not examined out of frame.

N.B. The HMS Clio sailed from Plymouth, England, to South America on July 19, 1830.
