Carved Mahogany "Cumberland" Dining Table, attributed to Thomas Seymour, Boston, c. 1810-20, the large rectangular top with rounded drop-leaves and reeded edge, on beaded inset apron and four turned and reeded tapering supports, on reeded sabre legs and brass hairy paw feet which swing out to support the leaves, joined by square stretchers, refinished, ht. 28 1/2, lg. 54 3/4, dp. open 61 3/4, dp. closed 17 in.

butterfly patch to address a crack in underside of one leaf. glue blocks replaced or added, but not original. three casters and all four caps original but the wheels have moved about 2 inches in on each foot. probable replacement caster with wooden wheel. one cap with broken and missing brass tab on underside.
