Aaron Willard Jr. Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, No. 2076, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1820, the mahogany case with painted iron roman numeral dial signed A. Willard, Jr./Boston, barbed steel hands and brass bezel, brass side ornaments flank the waist section with half-round moldings and reverse-painting on glass of a classical urn and foliage on a mustard and blue ground, the box glass depicts a father and three children out for a walk and ride in a baby buggy with gold leaf, blue, and mustard border framed in half-round molding, eight-day time-only movement with recoil escapement, holes for fillister head screws (now gone),front plate stamped A Willard Jr./Boston., powered by a lead weight and regulated by a brass-faced pendulum bob and iron rod, ht. to top of gilded acorn finial 33 in.

lower glass probably original but cracked, case in old surface, lead weight inside case wound fully, dial all original including signature.
