John Dickson & Son 12 Gauge Hammer Gun, c. mid-1870s, serial number 3216, walnut stock with checkered forend and grip, lockplates finely engraved with foliate scroll pattern and marked "JOHN DICKSON/& SON," Damascus barrels with plain rib engraved "JOHN DICKSON & SON, 63 PRINCES STREET, EDINBURGH," overall lg. 46 1/4 in.
