Special Model 1861 Contract Rifle-musket, c. 1864, walnut stock and steel fittings, lock dated "1864" on the tail, and marked "U.S./AMOSKEAG MFG. CO./MANCHESTER, N.H.," barrel dated "1865," barrel lg. 40, overall lg. 56 in.

Stock has some dings and nicks, as well as two plugged holes, one in front of the lock, and one on the forestock, barrel has some vise marks on the breech, and some file marks near the muzzle, lock functions properly.
