Samuel Kirk .917 Silver Pitcher, Baltimore, c. 1824, bearing Baltimore assay mark and date letter "C," repousse-decorated throughout with a grapevine and rose motif to neck, floral border to body centering an engraved cartouche, and an acanthus-capped handle with figural mask, ht. 11 3/4 in., approx. 36.4 troy oz.

Handle with shallow dent to acanthus area (very unobtrusive). Current cartouche engraving may be later (silver silver still strong, light surface abrasions surrounding existing engraving). Otherwise surface wear throughout with slight loss to details (consistent with age/ polishing over time).
