George III Inlaid Mahogany Knife Box, England, early 19th century, the canted compass-inlaid sunburst lid on conforming case, interior with fitted compartments, ht. 14 1/8 in.
Estimate $300-500

Some nicks, small chips, splits in wood to back with repairs, stringing losses and repairs toward base, canted lid has surface accretions/grime and wear/splits to inlaid areas. Lid has some warping.
