Modern Wedgwood Solid Light Blue Jasper Dome-top Jar and Cover, England, 1984, applied white relief with a classical figure resting atop a domed engine-turned cover, cylindrical body with scalloped rim and paneled sides of classical figures alternating with a figural sculpture titled Selfridge's below an arabesque floral band, impressed mark, ht. 9 3/4 in.
Note: The figural sculpture is above the entrance of Selfridge's, Oxford Street, London, and the original is the work of the British sculptor Gilbert Bayes.
