Description:

George III Sterling Silver Coffeepot, London, 1780-81, maker's mark double struck "WC," baluster-form with an acanthus-capped spout, ht. 12 in., approx. 23.8 troy oz.
Estimate $700-900

Lid unmarked, finial with metal fatigue along joint to lid (see image). Professional restoration along spout and a patch to body (where silver is slightly weaker due to engraving removal). Surface wear/ minor nicks and abrasions (particularly to foot) and small dent to lower body.
