Description:

Wedgwood Caneware Dolphin Incense Burner and Cover, England, early 19th century, applied black basalt foliage to a pierced cover, the bowl with foliate festoons and set atop the tail of three dolphins mounted on a triangular base bordered with a band of foliage at foot, impressed mark, ht. 5 1/4 in.

Restoration to ball finial; slight chip to top rim; slight leaf relief loss to a raised button; foot with several slight nicks surrounding edge.
