Gold and Turquoise Bracelet,
c. 1835, composed of oval gold plaques with leaf and flowerhead motifs, collet-set throughout with turquoise cabochons, lg. 6 7/8 in.

Note: Although this bracelet contains the characteristic motifs and appearance of cannetille work, it was cast using the lost wax method.Note: Lots 133 through 229 are property from the Nancy and Gilbert Levine collection, donated to the Toledo Museum of Art and sold to benefit its future acquisitions. The collection formed the Museum of Arts and Sciences travelling exhibition "A Century of Jewelry & Gems: 1785-1885" which was accompanied by a published catalogue in 1995.
