M.C. Escher (Dutch, 1898-1972)

Contrast (Order and Chaos), 1950 (Bool et al., 366). Signed and numbered "MCEscher No. 6/29 II" in pencil l.l., dated and monogrammed within the matrix. Lithograph on smooth paper, image size 11 x 11 in. (27.9 x 27.9 cm), framed.
Condition: Pale mat burn, glued to facing mat in upper margin, subtle soiling to margins, gentle cockling to upper margin.
Estimate $8,000-10,000

The sheet measures 14 9/16 x 14 11/16 inches.
