On Drinkin' Beer in Vietnam in 1967, 1971, proof edition of 10. Signed, dated, and titled within the plate, numbered "a/p 3/10" in pencil l.l., tree dry stamp l.r. Soft-ground etching on cream wove paper, plate size 17 x 21 in. (43.2 x 53.3 cm),framed.
Condition: Deckled edges, floated within the frame with gentle rippling, not examined out of frame.
N.B. Cannon was of Kiowa and Caddo descent. He was a paratrooper with the U.S. 101st Airborne Division and served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. This work depicts the artist (left) drinking beer in a bar in Vietnam with his friend Kirby Feathers.
