Rembrandt van Rijn (Dutch, 1606-1669)

The Adoration of the Shepherds: With the Lamp, c. 1654, an 18th century impression (Bartsch/Hollstein, 45ii/ii). Signed within the plate. Etching on laid paper, plate size 4 3/16 x 5 in. (10.5 x 12.6 cm), unmatted, unframed.
Condition: Margins 1/8 inch or more, loss to lower margin near corner l.r., repaired loss/tear to upper margin (the tear extending just into image), old hinges to upper edge on verso.
Estimate $1,200-1,500
