Spanish Colonial School, 18th to 20th Century

Six Unstretched Canvases Depicting Religious Subjects:Female Saint (possibly St. Justina) Flanked by Two Angels, St. Michael Vanquishing the Devil, S. Felipe Neri, Standing Christ Holding a Child and a Lily, Standing Madonna and Child, and Sabana Santa (The Deposition). All oil on canvas, sizes to 38 x 27 in. Condition: Most with paint losses, punctures, abrasions, tears, creasing, and surface grime.

Provenance: Purchased in South America, most likely in the 1930s, by an American who traveled widely across the continent, with a focus on Ecuador.
