Smith and Wesson Model 1917 Revolver, c. early 20th century, serial number 106987, walnut grips, bottom of the butt marked U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917/NO/106/987, left side of the barrel marked S. & W. D.A. 45, marked under the barrel "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", the top of the barrel with Smith & Wesson patent markings, overall lg. 11 in.

Some nicks in the left grip, and a small piece missing on the bottom corner, and some light holster wear near the muzzle, but retains the majority of its original finish, and the action functions properly.
