Two Chinese Seatback Covers and a Mat, Ningxia, mid-19th century, both gold seatback covers, one with a single "lion dog" and one with a confronting pair of "lion dogs" flanked by various treasures of Buddhism in shades of blue and ivory above a mountain and sea landscape, all within a blossoming vine border, 2 ft. 4 in. x 2 ft. 5 in. and 2 ft. 2 in. x 2 ft. 5 in., the mat with a floral center medallion on a royal blue ground flanked by blossoms and vines at each corner, all within a cloud and mountain and sea-patterned border, 2 ft. 3 in. x 2 ft. 4 in.
