Liverpool Polychrome and Gilt Transfer-decorated Pottery Jug, late 18th century, one side with vignette of Liberty and Justice surrounding a portrait of Washington, reading "Deafness to the Ear that will patiently hear & Dumbness to the Tongue that will utter a calamny against the Immortal Washington/My Favorite Son," the reverse depicting a ship, with remnants of gilt scrolled foliage throughout and the United States seal, (restoration),ht. 8 1/2 in.
