Thomas Triggs Longcase Clock, London, c. 1730, burl walnut veneered flat-top case with blind frets and engaged columns, composite brass dial with maker's boss reading Thomas Triggs London in the arch, silvered Roman numeral chapter ring, seconds bit, recessed date dial against a matted center, and cast brass spandrels, tombstone waist door and two-stage stepped molded base, five-pillar, eight-day time and hour strike movement with anchor escapement, regulated by a brass-faced pendulum, and powered by two iron weights, ht. 89 in.
shrinkage and spliting of veneer on bottom panel and waist door, object right hood cove molding off but present.
