Kaleidoscope, Attributed to Designer Charles Bush, C.G. Bush & Co., manufacturer, Providence, Rhode Island, c. 1870s, pebbled paper-covered cardboard cylinder with brass ship's wheel-form movable fitting, supported on a turned walnut base, the circular chamber box containing multicolored glass segments and liquid-filled ampules (patented in 1873), producing geometric patterns in the viewing lens, ht. 12 in.
