Description:

French Bisque Head Automaton Doll, in the style of Lambert, head possibly by Limoges, impressed "J.B. 4" to back, with fixed blue glass eyes, painted facial features and open mouth, brown wig, bisque arms, and composition body, dressed in white silk and net dress with applied red stars, standing on red velvet-covered base, holding a white composition egg edged with red silk ruffle, plays a tune when wound with key to base, doll's arms move and the egg opens and shuts, (egg now empty), ht. 20 in.
