Louis XV/XVI Transitional Tulipwood-veneered and Lacquer-mounted Occasional Table, Paris, stamped "R.V.L.C" for Roger Vandercruse Lacroix (1728–1799),two circular shelves each with a reticulated ormolu gallery enclosing crossbanded kingwood veneer centering an inset lacquer panel, the top surface with a single frieze drawer, all raised on three cabriole legs, ht. 29 3/4, wd. 17 in.

N.B. Lacroix (maitre, 1755) specialized in meubles volants, utilizing fine veneers, well-cast mounts, and lacquer or porcelain elements.
Estimate $800-1,200

Legs professionally restored and overpainted. Hardware including gallery not original, missing one sabot foot, the other two loose (lacking nails). Veneer with scattered lifting, cracks, losses and patches with in-painting. Lacquer cracking.
