Beshir Main Carpet, West Turkestan, late 19th century, the vivid red field with an allover highly stylized and geometric herati design in brown, ivory, blue-green, and gold, the main border comprised of boldly drawn palmettes, multiple stepped triangle minor borders, 19 ft. x 10 ft.
