Chi-Chi Rug, Northeast Caucasus, last quarter 19th century, the royal blue field with an allover pattern of highly stylized polychrome bracketed shield style palmettes within an apple green "kufic" main border, multiple contiguous stepped diamond patterned minor borders, 5 ft. x 3 ft. 11 in.
