Paint-decorated Dome-top Box, probably Maine, early 19th century, the shallow dome-top with replaced brass bail handle, and iron lock, on a dovetail-constructed box, overall surface decoration in red and black to resemble exotic wood, with yellow striping and green bordering, (imperfections),ht. 7 1/4, wd. 17 1/2, dp. 9 in.
