Nico Wilhelm Jungmann (Anglo/Dutch, 1872-1935)

Portrait of Mrs. Frances S. Burroughs. Monogrammed "NICO/W/J" l.l., signed "Nico Jungmann" l.r., and with a label from Charles Roberson & Co., London, affixed to the strainer. Gouache, ink wash, and graphite on paper, 49 1/2 x 18 1/4 in., framed. Condition: Mounted to canvas, staining along bottom tacking edge, paper losses along tacking edges, minor foxing.

The paper losses are very minor and occur only at the edges. The staining along the lower edge is unobtrusive and barely effects the composition. The fox marks are scattered and pale.
