Two Landscapes from the Catskill Series: Clouds Lying in the Elevated MountainVale and Druid Rocks. Clouds signed or inscribed "Frankenstein" in pencil l.l., titled, signed, and numbered "Catskill Series/No. 9" on the reverse; Rocks signed, inscribed, titled, and dated "Catskill Series/No. 12" in ink, and signed, inscribed and dated, "...September 21 1896/Geo.L.F." in pencil on the reverse. Mixed media on paper/board, sight sizes to approximately 9 x 12 in. Condition: Clouds with paint losses, lifting, craquelure, scattered abrasions, small crease or tear to l.l.; Rocks with tear to u.c. edge, not examined out of frame.
