Shaker Brown/Red-painted Pine Meetinghouse Bench, New Lebanon, New York, c. 1820, the rectangular seat joined to the three vertical cutout brackets by six diagonal braces, (imperfections), ht. 18, lg. 90 1/4, dp. 10 in.
wear to paint, two braces restored, was longer at some point (evidence of old braces at ends).
