Nine Shaker Labels, New Lebanon, 19th century, black or black and red letterpress ink on pink, yellow, blue, or white paper.
This is an assortment of larger labels used for medicinal and cosmetic products produced by the New Lebanon, New York Shakers. Rose Water was also used in cooking. "Healolene" was a salve sold by both the New Lebanon and Enfield, Connectict Shaker communities.
