American School, 19th Century, Hand-tinted Sixth-plate Daguerreotype of a Seated Woman, in an embossed leather case, and Boston School, 19th Century, Sixth-plate Daguerreotype of a Man Standing Beside a Chair, in a black leather push-button case.
Condition: The first with very minor tarnish, partially detached spine with repair, case abraded and worn; the second with minor tarnish, case abraded, scratched, and opening at top corners, minor corrosion on brass mat, velvet pad slightly discolored, velvet liner worn; not examined out of cases.
Provenance: A private New England collection.
