Fine Italian Violin, Pietro Antonio Landolphi, Milan, c. 1760, bearing the maker's label, length of back 353 mm, with case.

Certificate: William Moenning & Son, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania., June 29, 1972.
Estimate $45,000-65,000

Back lower bout edge has been doubled.
Back lower bout edge has been replaced\rebuild, including purfling.
Top has a restored sound post crack with patch
2 Repaired cracks at the top upper bout.
3 inch saddle crack on the bass bar side.
Small saddle crack no the treble side.
Left and right F-crack
Top upper block area has been doubled.
Top right lower bout has been doubled
Peg box has been replaced
When the scroll was attached to the peg box, a dowel was inserted from one end top the other.
The ribs have been raise by 2mm all the way around, on the top side to: 32mm
Left upper and lower corner have rib repairs.
Left lower rib has 90x18mm added piece.
Left lower rib has a repair.
Left and right of the button are small cracks.
Portion of the left ear of the scroll has an added piece
Very little of the scroll is original. Maybe 20-30%.

The instrument is in a fair state of repair.
