Chippendale Walnut and Gilt-gesso Mirror, England or America, late 18th century, the scrolled frame with cresting of a gilt-incised basket issuing flowering vines, above the gilt-gesso incised liner flanked by meandering gilt-gesso vines, original surface, (imperfections),ht. 45, wd. 23 1/2 in.
Provenance: A pencil inscription on the backboard reads in part: "...from the old Wentworth Mansion at Salmon Falls [NH]."
