Signed and dated "Calder 71" l.r., inscribed "...Perls..." in pencil on the reverse,
identified on a label from Perls Gallery, New York, affixed to the backing.
Gouache on Canson & Montgolfier wove paper, sheet size 29 7/16 x 43 3/16 in. (74.8 x 109.7 cm),framed.
Condition: Subtle rippling, small handling crease to center, cloth tape hinged to backing mat.
Provenance: Perls Gallery to private collection, Geneva, Switzerland, 1974; to Perls Gallery, then to current owner c. 1985.

Three light abrasions to the u.l. quadrant (one to the top edge of sheet and two to the horse's mouth),with the longest measuring approx. 3/4 in.; minor handling crease to the l.r. quadrant (visible primarily in harsh raking light); very minor indentions to the edges of sheet; no additional condition issues to report.
