American Renaissance Revival Marquetry and Parcel-gilt Center Table, probably New York, last quarter 19th century, top inlaid with a bucolic scene of a couple surrounded by foliate scrolls on a rosewood ground, on a walnut and burl walnut-veneered base with incised and gilded motifs throughout, on four turned and fluted legs joined by an X-form stretcher, ht. 29 3/4, wd. 47 1/2, dp. 29 in.

Wear to finish on both straight edges of table. Veneers dry, cleaned-up, and re-glued. Top with several shrinkage cracks extending inward from edges. Age-typical wear. No popping or separation to veneers or joints. Damage to finish on knops on legs. Loss to some roundels on legs. Burl frieze cracked on one curved end. Minor loss to molding.
