Description:

Willem de Kooning (Dutch/American, 1904-1997)

Reflections: To Kermit for our Trip to Japan, 1970-71, edition of 28 plus proofs, published by Knoedler, New York, printed by Hollanders Workshop, New York (Graham, 22). Dated and signed "'70 de Kooning" in pencil within the image l.r., numbered "19/28" in the image l.l., printer's dry stamp l.l. Lithograph on paper, image size 45 7/8 x 33 1/4 in. (116.5 x 84.3 cm), framed.
Condition: Floated within the frame, minor creasing (some possibly from the printing process), not examined out of frame.
Estimate $3,000-5,000

The sheet measures 50 1/2 x 34 1/2 in., and appears to be affixed to the support at each of the four corners. The "glass" is Pelixglas. Due to the size of the work and delicacy of the paper this has not and will not be removed from the frame. The creases are exceedingly minor.
