Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973)

Figures, 1927, edition of 50, printed in 1960 (Bloch, 81; Geiser, 122). Signed "Picasso" in pencil l.r., numbered "20/50" in pencil l.l. Etching on paper, plate size 7 5/8 x 11 in. (19.3 x 27.9 cm), framed.
Condition: Margins 1/2 inch or more, mat burn, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $4,000-6,000

Sheet is approximately 13 x 14 3/4 in. Margins are 1 3/4 at right and left and 3 1/4 at bottom. Top not accessible because mat could not be fully opened. Print is hinged at the top. Slight crimps at l.r., u.r., and left edge. Two lines of mat burn. Hinge residue on verso at l.r. corner and top and bottom of left edge. Unevening toning on verso.
