John Marin (American, 1870-1953)

Downtown, the El, 1921, an impression from the 1924 edition made from the plate after steel-facing (Zigrosser, 134). Signed "John Marin" in pencil l.l., signed and dated within the plate. Etching on paper, plate size 6 3/4 x 8 3/4 in. (17.2 x 22.2 cm), framed.
Condition: Unobtrusive toning, pale fox marks, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $3,000-3,500
