Josef Albers (German/American, 1888-1976)

Intaglio Solo V, 1958, edition of 30 (Danilowitz, 140). Signed and dated "Albers 58" in pencil l.r., titled and numbered "...8/30" in pencil l.l. Intaglio without ink (embossing) on cream wove paper, plate size 6 7/16 x 8 7/16 in. (16.3 x 21.3 cm), unmatted, unframed.
Condition: Margins over 3 1/2 inches, tear (approximately 5/8 inches) with creasing to corner l.r., pale foxing.
Estimate $1,000-1,500

Sheet is 14 1/16 x 17 1/8. Minor soling at bottom center of verso. Lightly toned.
