George III Silver Coffeepot, London, 1765-66, maker's mark "JS," probably for John Swift, tall baluster-form body with a wood flying scroll handle, swirled acorn finial, and gadrooned edging to lid rim and foot-rim, ht. 12 1/2 in., approx. 39 troy oz.

Several small shallow dents to the lower body. Cover with only the standard mark. Gadrooned border to top with two small nicks. Foot with scattered abrasions. Finish irregularities throughout including a light halo extending symmetrically from lower handle joint to spout then back across the other side (does not match up with any existing seam).
