Enamel Beaker and Silk Scarf Commemorating the Coronation of Tsar Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra, Russia, 1896, the polychrome and gilt beaker decorated with the cipher for Nicholas and Alexandra, Imperial double-headed eagle, date, and strapwork, ht. 4; the scarf with the Kremlin framed by an oak branch and an olive branch, Imperial double-headed eagles to the four corners, and a red band of scrolling foliage 20 x 22 in.
Provenance: Beaker purchased from Paul Paulson, Washington, D.C.; silk scarf from Svetlana Aronov, New York.
Beaker with scattered wear and loss. Scarf with staining and dy bleeding.
