Four-piece Gorham Martele .9584 Silver Tea and Coffee Service, Providence, Rhode Island, teapot 1905, other pieces 1915, all retailed by Spaulding & Co., Chicago, each squat, bulbous form with registers of flowers and leafy scrolls with undulating rims, teapot and coffeepot with ivory heat stops, creamer with gold-washed interior, and a covered sugar, all monogrammed and dated to underside, coffeepot ht. 11 in., approx. 97.3 troy oz.
Estimate $12,000-18,000

Lacking original oxidized finish (bright, light finish). Creamer with two smal, shallow dents to body, foot slightly off kilter. Coffeepot with one very small dent to body (under 1/2 in.). Date marks HZH: covered sugar, HZG: coffeepot, HZI: creamer, MHX: teapot.
