Large Needlework Sampler, by Caroline Bright, 1836, worked in silk threads and wool yarns on a linen gauze ground depicting a central verse titled "Affection" surrounded by an assortment of potted plants, urns of flowers, grape clusters, trees, and birds, all surrounded by a flowering vine, (toning, minor light stains), 27 x 27 in., framed.
