Description:
Three Silk Embroidered Piano Shawls, two Chinese, one possibly European, 20th century, all fringed with allover polychrome floral and figural embroidery, two on black ground, one on yellow, measuring 60 to 65 in. at center.
Provenance: Formerly property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

One black background with minor loose threads and a few areas with subtle surface grime, overall good, the other black shawl with small holes, repairs, and fading/discoloration to background, embroidery in tact, yellow with minor thread loss and a few brown spots.
